Using summarization as a way to generate content has two different forms and many benefits. First, summarization basically means summarizing some other content that is much longer, more technical or other reasons.

Two Ways to Summarization:

  • Summarizing your own content - if you have any content that you have previously written, produced, made or developed, you can go in and produce small summaries of that content which you can use again on your blog.

This can also mean going in and breaking down “how-to” material into checklists, breaking down a very long article into many smaller ones, etc.

  • Summarizing Content Others Produced - This is what Engadget and many of the other popular sites do. The basic idea is to read other sites and write a paragraph that summarizes what is says and write it in such a way as to target your readers.

Benefits Of Summarization:

  • Fast way to produce content - you can go through a dozen or so article and write summaries in an hour.
  • Less use of creative mind - you don’t have to “think” much about where to start and what you write about, you just have to read and regurgitate what was written already, either your content or somebody elses.
  • Anybody can do it - easy to get help of others to cover for you.
