Google Analytics Status/Problems

I was all happy thinking that I’m finally going to see how Google Analytics is operating, then I logged in and I wasn’t so happy anymore. They are still catching up on the loads of traffic but I took a minute to explore some of the functions they have in there:
- Different views - Webmaster, executive, marketer - are the different views that are available, so that everybody is happy and getting their own version of the same numbers. Some of us bloggers get to view all three.
- User management - control who you allow to view your stats and what they get to see, such as which domains and which reports.
- Flash driven - Looks like Google couldn’t pull this off in AJAX so they using Macromedia Flash for the majority of the presentation - this shouldn’t affect anything as long as they get it working.
- Printing - You can print any page by clicking on the “printer” button towards the top right corner. Although Firefox crashed when I went to print-preview.
- Exporting - All of the stats can be exported from Google Analytics and into either text, XML or Excel formats. So if you want a permanent record or to play with the numbers in different ways, you’ll have the raw data.
Now, let’s hope they fix the service issue pretty soon.
